Story: Richard Belbin – Festival volunteer

This year's Festival will take place on Sunday 10th July 1-6pm.

Volunteers for Abbeyfield Park Multicultural Festival are setting up a new, independent organisation for the festival. Many of last year's volunteers are involved, there are also some new faces. We will still be putting on the same festival that has been such a success over the last two decades, with stage and music acts, children’s area, stalls and much more.

This year we are looking to raise sponsorship from companies and organisations to help cover the costs. In earlier years the festival was funded by New Deal, and then by a variety of smaller grants, many of which are no longer available. So, we are looking at new ways of raising money.

The festival will remain free entry. We will not try to raise money going door to door, and if anyone does so claiming to be from the Festival – they’re not!

To book a stall for the festival, please mail, food stalls If you are interested in appearing on stage, mail
