Abdi Omar, of Lopham Street, will face a retrial after a jury failed to reach a verdict on his case at Sheffield Crown Court.
Abdi is accused of murdering Deeq Ali in October last year at a party on Spital Hill. The date of the new trial is yet to be announced.
