The panel held two public meetings in July. The ‘usual’ meeting, on 19th July, happened at the same time as a power cut in Fir Vale. It had to move from the lecture theatre to the school canteen. Many thanks to the caretaker for helping to get the room sorted out.
The main agenda items were:
flooding on Bolsover Road, and the response to the flooding throughout the city.
the ending of the B1, B2 and D1 buses.
progress report on more primary school places.
report on the discussion of the Child Safety Zone between Barnsley Road and Firth Park Road.
Sheffield Development Framework.
questions, mainly about the planning application of Masjid Umar, Osgathorpe Road.
A further special meeting was held at St. Cuthbert's Church, for residents on Horndean, Idsworth and Bolsover Road, about the Child Safety Zone proposals.
