The latest Firshill and Passhouses Roads DIY street event took place on Tuesday 19 February in Firshill School.
12 residents came, together with two council officers and Daniel Black, a design officer from Sustrans – a sustainable transport charity.
This session was on the design of how these roads could look in the future. The group went on to talk about
Traffic calming (including raised tables, railings, build-outs, echelon parking, gateways, sightlines, one-way).
Lime trees on the road.
Anti-social behaviour (speeding cars and drug dealing)
The budget to carry out this work.
Skills and experience to carry out the research/work.
Over the next few weeks a news sheet will be produced and delivered to all residents explaining what’s happening next.
