Sheffield City Council's Cabinet approved going ahead with further consultation and asked Council officers to sign and submit an Expression of Interest for an Academy.

The matter wasn't debated at the full Council meeting on 5th March although the North Sheffield Anti-Academies Alliance presented their petition of 300 signatures. The official council minute of this is attached.

The next stage will involve further consultation on how the proposals will be put into practice.
