Richard Hanson photography competition – A British summer

This is the first Burngreave Messenger photography competition, which will be running each issue. We are
grateful to the Hanson family for allowing us to name the competition in memory of local photographer Richard Hanson (right) and the judging has been done by his daughter Jess, and Burngreave Messenger photography volunteer James Woollen.

We are pleased to announce the winner is Frankie Currie:

Bright blue sky and green trees reflected in rippled water.

Special mentions also go to Fatima Amir and Julie Wright:

View of a person looking out over Sheffield buildings with bright blue sky and fluffy white clouds.

Two small children walk away from the camera exploring woods and walking towards light through the trees over big rocks.

The theme for our next issue is ‘hidden gems’. Please email high quality images to mail@burngreavemessenger.org by 15th November.
The Creative Pathways project helps to address issues of social exclusion and health and is based at Spartan House on Carlisle Street.
