Story by SADACCA Photo by Daniel Falekulo
SADACCA is a community organisation which was founded in 1984. Heritage Open Day was an opportunity to show
ourselves as part of the heritage of Sheffield, through our community’s history as well as the history of our building.
We recently welcomed the National Citizen Service who painted some of the building as part of their social outreach
programme, leaving SADACCA looking slicker than ever. TechieLad have worked with us on our new website which
enables users to find out about upcoming events, make donations and online bookings.

On 10th August regular attendees of the day care group took a trip to Skegness and on 12th September they did
chair aerobics, which we hope to continue every week. Women’s Group Exercise is a fortnightly event which started on 7th September. It is an avenue for developing a positive mental state, sharing ideas, and promoting a healthy lifestyle through a range of activities. At the start of August, SADACCA started offering domiciliary care to members in the community. Carers
were sent out to the homes of those who needed support and assistance with their daily needs.
This October we plan to celebrate Black History month and are organising events in association with SYAC and the
Caribbean Sport Club. We have a range of events which all are welcome to attend. You can find out more at:
