Do you know someone who makes a real difference in our community?

Someone who goes that extra mile to help those around them and makes Burngreave a better place to be? It could be a group or an individual, a volunteer, a paid worker, a new project or a well-established one.

We want to hear about them, and we want the rest of Burngreave and Sheffield to hear about them too.

Just tell us about why you want to nominate the person (or group), about the work they have carried out and why you think it has had a positive impact upon Burngreave.

We are having our ‘Burngreave Star Awards’ soon and there will be a presentation, refreshments, lots of love and laughter to celebrate and news for all the city to hear – the people in Burngreave are brilliant and inspiring!

If you would like to nominate someone, you can use the form provided on the Messenger website or contact our local area partnership officer Pam Grant (Pam.Grant@sheffield.gov.uk), who will send you out a nomination form.

Despite the many hardships we know people in the area face, we all believe that Burngreave is a great place to live, to grow up and to work in. Let’s be proud of our area, and proud of our people.

We look forward to hearing from you with names of people or groups that have inspired you.

Talib, Jackie and Mark
