In Savile Street Tesco during the freezing weather, the Tesco employee in front of me was with a homeless bloke. Out of his own pocket he was buying him a duvet, coat, shoes, gloves, socks and tobacco.
The woman serving asked him if he had anywhere to sleep tonight? The homeless bloke said the guy paying for his stuff had sorted it (apparently he’d taken him to the café for a hot meal and drinks as well).
I didn’t nearly cry, there was dust in my eyes. My faith in humanity has been restored for the time being.
