On Sunday evening, a group of more than twenty from the Rock Christian Centre on Spital Hill made a visit to the Al- Rahman Mosque on Gower Street. By doing so they hoped to build good relations between the two religious communities.
The meeting started with the Imam welcoming them and saying how happy he was to see them inside the Mosque.
He then explained what Islam is about, particularly with regard to the role of the Mosque as a community centre where you meet different people from different countries.
He then explained Islam’s belief in how to respect and help other people, as well as how to guide those people to live a good life and do the right thing.
After that, the visitors had a chance to look around the mosque. They concluded the meeting by thanking the Imam, Abu Mohammed, for giving them the chance to discover the community mosque and declaring their wish to make a return visit soon.
