Volunteer Fair

Volunteer Fair

Make a difference this summer by volunteering. The Sheffield Volunteer Centre is hosting a Volunteer Fair:

  • Tuesday 12th June 10am-4pm
  • The Circle, 33 Rockingham Lane, S1 4FW.

Come to the  Volunteering Fair to meet with organisations from across Sheffield and find the right volunteering role for you. By volunteering you can gain relevant experience for work or study, but also pursue your interests or hobbies. You can learn a new skill or share your existing skills, while helping others and making a worthwhile difference within your community. You’ll also have the chance to meet and connect with people, and have fun too. Volunteering can be a way for people to share their skills or learn new skills, gain relevant experience for work or study, or pursue hobbies and interests.

Everyone is welcome.

There will be something for everyone at the Fair, and there are so many possibilities for you in volunteering. You could be doing anything from gardening and growing at an allotment project, to reducing food waste by preparing meals for community groups. You could be running crafts activities for children, or planning fitness and well-being activities for older people. You could be helping people with their language skills, or using your writing skills to highlight the work of a charity through social media.

A list of charities attending the fair on our website, and updates will be be posted on Facebook and Twitter.

There will be over 30 charities, looking for volunteers to support them in the invaluable work they do.

The Messenger will be present and we look forward to seeing you there!

Make this summer the time that you start volunteering, to make a difference for others and a difference for yourself
