Adnan Hussain is a student from Sheffield Hallam University – with a degree in Events and International Leisure Management- who in his spare time, volunteers for various charity organisations, which include Be-kind and Phase.
Adnan has done many events in the past, such as a charity car wash, charity dinners, mosque collections, as well as recently completing the three-peak challenge, in August, where you climb the highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland (Scafell Pike, Mount Snowden and Ben Nevis).
Adnan climbed Ben Nevis on the 5th August 2018, which took 6 hours to hike in total. The summit was originally intended to raise money for the people of Nepal, but due to the fact that Adnan had raised money for them previously, he decided to do this summit for Palestine instead. Palestine is a country which is plagued by many incidents such as, death, murder and rape where innocent people’s lives are constantly at risk, which is why Adnan wanted to help. Although he suffered from heath issues, he still completed the summit because he wanted to give back to those in need.
“I feel that it’s important to have a personal impact on an individual’s life, which has been a dream of mine to accomplish; I feel content and fulfilled when I do so.”
