Crabtree Ponds September 2

Story by Deborah Blencowe | Photo by Philip Blencowe

The Wildlife Trust last met on Monday 3rd September and did their usual clear up of Crabtree Ponds.

The picture shows the lovely state of the site the following Saturday with not much litter about at all. People are obviously now using the litter bin which is being regularly emptied. Let’s hope it stay this way.

If you would like to get involved with the maintenance of this area as local residents, the clear up takes place on the first Monday of every month at 10am until around 12pm and all essential equipment is provided, eg. gloves, litter pickers and bags. The waste is taken away by Sheffield Wildlife Trust. Refreshments are provided.
