Wood Hill bonanza

Wood Hill House

Story and photo by Kim

Wood Hill House had a Summer Bonanza party on Saturday 1st September and it was a great event. It was held in the community room of the complex needs and dementia care wing which was decorated nicely for the party.

The event was jam packed like the yummy homemade cakes on the tables. Along with the cake there were sandwiches and other sweet treats for everyone to enjoy. There was entertainment from Paul Barrie who did a great job at creating a lively fun day.

The event is one of many put on for its residents and their families and friends throughout the year; this one was to raise funds for the Christmas party. In attendance were Silvia and Michael who were celebrating their 56th wedding anniversary. Congratulations Silvia and Michael!

The manager Laura Cunningham is proud to announce the home was recently awarded Good CQC rating and informs us the next Wood Hill House event will be a charity coffee morning on the 27th September in aid of Macmillan Cancer support.
