Story by Richard Belbin
There are over 100 languages, from all parts of the globe, spoken by Burngreave’s schoolchildren, reflecting the rich diversity of our area.
As part of the Messenger’s mission to help all parts of the community to communicate with each other, we will be showing you how to say ‘hello’ and ‘thank you’ in some of those languages over the next few issues. Because it’s just nice to be able to greet someone in their mother tongue, and to do something to make people smile.
