Pitsmoor Community Dementia Day

Dementia? Welcome! Cafe

The Burngreave/Pitsmoor Community Dementia Day is a project among colleagues from the Alzheimer’s Society, SOAR, Enrichment for the Elderly, and the Dementia? Welcome! Café.

Sufferers of dementia may think there is not help available. We know there are a variety of resources out there, but it can be hard to find what suits you.

The Burngreave area is diverse. The day is a chance to speak out and be listened to.

Coping with dementia is about more than the provision of services: having the support and awareness of your friends and family is important. The community day is for learning about making that happen through conversation and awareness. There will be an opportunity to become a Dementia Friend on the day or in the future.

The Community Dementia Day is something of a celebration. So come along to Verdon Recreation Centre on Tuesday 13th November 11am – 3pm

This event is for people to come together and look to the future needs of our community.

Hope to see you there!
