This year’s national Big Lunch Day on Saturday 1st June saw the Friends of Burngreave Cemetery and Pitsmoor Adventure Playground collaborate in providing a fun afternoon’s entertainment.
Refreshments were on offer at the playground followed by the launch of this year’s well dressing and a spectacular Lau Gar Kung Fu display by the St James martial arts group. Different age groups demonstrated their various skills in self-defence and the use of various weapons, culminating in a fast-moving presentation by leader Graham Abdullah flashing a gleaming Chinese broadsword.
