All the articles from the printed copy of issue 143, the June 2019 edition of the Burngreave Messenger, are now online.
You can see all the issues collected in an index at Issue 143 June 2019.
Alternatively, you can download the June 2019 PDF edition if you prefer a digital copy to keep and view offline.
This edition of the Messenger was out a week later than had previously been announced. This is due to the delay in receiving news of our national lottery bid. It also means that our next issue will be slightly later too. You can find out more about the possible future of the Messenger in our editorial article Awaiting decisions.
Did you get your Messenger?
If you live in our catchment area and you haven’t received your printed copy by Tuesday 25th June, then please get in touch and let us know.
20th anniversary issue
All being well, our next edition will be our 20th anniversary issue. The first issue of the Messenger was published in July 1999, and for our 20th anniversary edition we will be featuring some of our favourite pieces and bringing back memories of those heady noughties days!
If you have a favourite story, photo, or any other memory of the Messenger’s work, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or give us a call on 0114 242 0564.
We’ve tentatively set a copy deadline of 1st August, with a publishing date of 17th August.
