New play equipment for Wensley Park

Don't fall off!

New play equipment has been installed in the Wensley Park playground as part of the renewal of the area.

Consultations were held last year with local residents to see what they wanted in the park, and top of the agenda was new play equipment.

Thanks to the hard work of the local TARA, they received funding from the councillors ward pot fund and are busy trying to secure more funding to landscape the area, as well as provide even more new equipment.

The new climbing frame has been immediately popular, with TARA Chair Mustafa Ahmed telling us:

“Children are really benefiting from the new equipment at Wensley park. They spend a lot of time there, and love to climb and have a lot of energy!”
