£1,000 grants to develop health improvement activities

Regeneration charity SOAR have opened up applications for grants of up to £1,000 from their ‘Let’s Build Health Grants’ scheme.

The grants are available to help create opportunities and develop local activity that improves health and well-being across the four People Keeping Well Partnerships in Burngreave, Firth Park, Southey and Chapelgreen.

Funding is allocated for activities in these neighbourhoods which support the overall aims of the PKW Community Partnership, including:

  • Increased awareness of and involvement in community activities
  • Increased range and uptake of volunteering opportunities
  • Increased participation and awareness of the benefits of green space and physical activity
  • Improved understanding of ways to live a healthy life

Deadline is Monday 4th November at 12pm.

Limited funds are available so apply soon to avoid disappointment.
