How to make a rubbish puppet with Patrick Amber

How to make a rubbish puppet

Looking for something to do during lockdown? Local Burngreave resident and puppet maker Patrick Amber has started a series of online YouTube tutorials on building puppets out of household junk like plastic packaging and broken items – in other words, ‘rubbish’.

His first video is online now:

Patrick says:

“It was difficult to decide what kind of puppetry I’d begin with, so I decided to start where my fascination for puppetry began, with rubbish: Plastic packaging, useless gadgets, broken things – junk. Or as I like to think of it, an abundance of diverse puppet making materials; ready available, free and ever challenging!

“I hope you enjoy it and if you make a puppet, let me know how you get on – I’d love to see it.”
