Forest Gardening session Saturday 15th May

Parkwood Springs view
Story by Neill Schofield, Joint Chair of the Friends of Parkwood Springs
This coming weekend on Saturday 15th May, Friends of Parkwood Springs have their usual Forest Gardening session, meeting at 10am at the car park on Cooks Wood Road. Depending on numbers (Government and Council coronavirus guidance will be followed) there will probably also be a conservation session starting from the car park.
A litter-pick at the top of the path from Wardsend Cemetery to the back of the Shirecliffe Estate will also take place. As many people will know, this is a real litter hot-spot, and it would be lovely to make it look better. We will meet at 10am at the entrance near the junction of Teynham Road and Penrith Road, by 52 Penrith Road, S5 8TU.
Everyone is welcome. Bring your own gardening gloves if you possibly can.
On the following Saturday, May 22nd, there a site visit to talk about the improvements to the entrance at Cooks Wood Road, coming about through a bid that the City Council has made. Meet at the Cooks Wood Road car park at 10am for that.
