The Messenger asked author Emily Gravett to comment on the work Pye Bank kids had done on her wonderful Meerkat Mail children’s book. She sent this response, plus three autographed copies of her book to the school.
“I’m so impressed by the work that the kids from Pye Bank have done based on my book. I think there’s a future generation of authors and illustrators being nurtured in that school. It makes me so happy to see a school promoting a love of books and reading, because once a child is in love with reading, anything else is possible.”
