As part of 2021 Heritage Open Days theme ‘Edibles’, the Friends of Burngreave Cemetery held their apple day on Sunday 19th September.

After an early downpour, the sun came out providing us with a beautiful warm afternoon. Apples were supplied from various places and juiced with the help of the Green city Action tool bank apple press. Also on offer were seed, plant and book swaps, lantern making and painting plus a walk round the cemetery led by Ken.

We’d love to hear from more of Burngreave’s people about how they think the Burngreave Messenger could best serve the community, so we’ve created an opportunity for you to tell us what you’d like us to do.
