After a tough year Green City Action are calling on the local community for their support. They have plenty of ideas to develop local environmental community projects but need to build their capacity and financial situation in order to deliver.
GCA is looking for trustees and other interested parties and volunteers to get involved, particularly from the local community, in bringing their own ideas to GCA and steering the organisation forward.

“Over the years GCA has delivered a wide variety of local green projects, including improving green spaces ,involving the local community and schools in food growing, delivering environmental education and events, enabling tool, toy, skill and seed sharing and so much more.

“Like a lot of community organisations GCA is in a difficult post Covid recovery phase. We have funds to keep our allotment food growing project running but have had to close our tool bank for now.

“For over 10 years the Toolbank has loaned out low cost DIY and gardening tools to the local community and supported people with DIY/gardening projects. We are committed to relaunching and developing the Toolbank and other projects and want you to get involved in making that happen. Join us!”
