On 16th October, Parkwood Springs football pitch was taken over by a range of creatures, both strange and familiar. Some of them had even taken to the trees!
After weeks of preparation and organising the Lantern Festival made a spectacular comeback. Because of Covid, there was no procession this year but this did not stop it being a fun and lively event. An estimated seven hundred turned up and the atmosphere was buzzingly feelgood: people were seeing people for the first time in over eighteen months, the colourful array of lanterns was amazing, and the brilliant upbeat live music was provided by Treebeard.
The grand finale was provided by Chris Marley, the amazing fire juggler. Please do not try any of these stunts at home… or anywhere else!
