The Abbeyfield Festival is back on Sunday 31st July and the Messenger will be there with both a stall and a small team with video cameras, covering the event and asking you what you think of the festival and of the Burngreave Messenger.
With support from our friends at Sheffield Live, we will be at the festival covering the event and interviewing local people for ‘vox pops’ on the topic of the festival, asking you about what the Messenger means to people as well as interviewing the acts and bands.
We hope to see you there. If you see us, come up and say hi!
The festival starts at 12noon and ends at 6pm.
Organised by the Friends of Abbeyfield Park over a few short weeks with a budget of just £5,000, everyone is hoping for a fun day in the park with music, games and activities, local stalls and a chance to try out your bowling skill on the bowling green.
It’s been a few years since there has been a festival in the park and a small team of very busy volunteers have been working hard to make it happen.
