Burngreave Messenger crowdfunder launched and situation update

Messenger public meetingFollowing a well-attended public meeting at which members of the community, including all three of our local councillors, offered support as well as concrete suggestions for fundraising, we are pleased to announce that we have launched a crowdfunder:

Please share this widely and if you are in a position to make a donation, however small, we would be most grateful.

We are also exploring other opportunities for raising awareness and raising funds including leafleting sessions and collections in the community.

We currently have two funding applications awaiting decision and are exploring other potential access to funding and support.

We have been heartened by the sheer amount of interest from media outlets and local journalists.

We have also received many messages of support and offers of assistance for which we are very grateful.

We would like to thank everyone who attended our meetings and those that have engaged in other ways. Your support is an important and consistent reminder of the value of the Burngreave Messenger and it is keeping us motivated to fight to save the charity.

If you have any questions, suggestions or offers of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Many thanks for your ongoing support.

Kind regards

Colette Wymer, Project Manager

The Burngreave Messenger is facing an uncertain future following the rejection of our funding application. You could help keep us going and publishing more issues by making a donation.
