Group for pregnant women and new mums who are asylum seekers and refugees. This is a space for people to come and share experiences, have a chat and make friends. We have NCT practitioners running sessions on topics such as breastfeeding, baby development, giving birth and weaning. A space for mums to support each other and learn together.

Pitsmoor Adventure Playground

Pitsmoor Adventure Playground is now run by a charitable organisation set up by local people, and is as popular as it’s ever been. Qualified staff are on site during opening hours to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for local children and their parents.

Who is it for?
The playground is for children up to 13 years old. Children aged 8 and over are free to come and go. Children aged 6 and 7 may attend unsupervised if accompanied by a child aged 8 or over. Children under 6 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

The friends of Burngreave Cemetery meet every Sunday between 11am and 3.00 pm to help visitors locate particular graves. There is a permanent display of information and photographs about the history of the cemetery and some of those interred there. Also installations by the artist in residence – Victoria Smith.
