
Parkwood Springs Forest Garden is a beautiful calm space and a productive permaculture project. It is a young forest garden developed by Sheffield City Council and volunteers. You are invited to come and help with it!
This month Friends of Parkwood Springs will be continuing with the winter tidy up, weeding, mulching and pruning. They will also be celebrating the ten year anniversary of the forest garden, with optional fancy dress in the theme of green man/woman or anything green!
Saturday 12th December 11am to 2pm at Parkwood Springs. Meet at the Parkwood Springs car park, Cooks Wood Road, S3 9AA at 10.45 for 11am, or later at the Forest Garden.
Cost: Free
There will be a break for refreshments – bring something to share if you’d like to.

Lend a hand at your local nature reserve, and help us to keep Crabtree Ponds looking lovely.
Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust members will be on site on the first Monday of every month*, and would welcome help from local volunteers. Tasks include litter-picking, habitat management, bulb planting, and infrastructure repairs. Tools, gloves, and refreshments will be provided – drop in whenever convenient, for as long as you like. All very welcome.
* Unless it falls on a bank holiday in which case it will be moved to the following Monday
