Our award winning Burngreave library is run by Marcia Layne and her team of volunteers. They are supported by SOAR and the Burngreave TARA.
Come along to use computers, WIFI and of course borrow books, CDs and DVDs.
Now open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am-1pm until further notice.
We are mindful the pandemic isn’t over and have been working hard to ensure everyone is safe in the library.
Here are some things you will need to do when visiting:
Please
- wear a face covering
- hand sanitise at the entrance to the library
- social distance
- return your books using the RFID machine if you can (we can help you with this)
- don’t visit the library if you have any Covid, cold or flu symptoms
The services we are offering are:
- Book borrowing and returns
- DVD and CD borrowing
- Computer use and printing (we now have brand new computers)
- Scanning
- Photocopying
Since we are a small library we will be managing the numbers of people who can come in at any one time to avoid overcrowding. Because of social distancing we only have four computers available so we also need to limit the time you can spend on a computer to half an hour per visit.
Our study areas and soft furnishings are not currently available except in the children’s area.
We hope you will understand the need for these new arrangements. Thank you for helping to keep the library a safe place for everyone.
